Dungbeetle River Lodge Activities

Dungbeetle River Lodge - Your adventure destination

Expect the unexpected at Dungbeetle River Lodge. Both the owners are nature/game guides to Addo Elephant National Park, and in keeping with their love for nature, the lodge is run as eco-friendly facility.

Our tour guides are Mike, Derek and Etta. They look forward to share their knowledge of what the Greater Addo Elephant National Park and surrounding areas offer visitors. With their input you are sure to experience a pleasant and unforgettable time, whether you are interested in a guided tour of the Addo Elephant National Park, or just on a self drive holiday in the Addo Elephant Park,  Port Elizabeth and Garden Route Areas of South Africa.

The Sundays river and the Alexandria Dunefields offer guests a wide range of activities. Below are photos of some things to do. For full descriptions and on-line bookings please visit the Dungbeetle Tours website by clicking here.

Temporary Cancellation Policy Amendment Coronavirus

In response to the increasing concerns about travelling during the recent coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, Dungbeetle River Lodge has temporarily amended our cancellation policy to ensure guests can confidently book their holiday risk free.

Please note that these booking policies apply ONLY to guests that book their stay directly with Dungbeetle River Lodge.  Bookings made through agents or companies are governed by the relevant company’s policies.

The amendments are valid for new bookings made after May 1st, 2020 for travel before October 1st, 2021. Dungbeetle River Lodge reserves the right to revert back to our normal cancellation policy within this period. However, the booking policy that applies to each booking is the effective booking policy on booking date not travel date.

Full payment is due on 30 days before arrival but will be 100% refundable until 3 days prior to occupation date of reservation for any guest-initiated cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this includes but is not limited to government lockdowns, travel bans, exposure to COVID-19, or guest not wanting to travel for fear that it is not safe to do so.
